Youth Engagement
REACH engages youth on key issues through dialogues and Listening Points, ensuring their voices are heard in policymaking for a relevant future.
REACH engages youths on various issues such as life aspirations, race and religion, mental health, adulting challenges, geopolitical issues, cost of living and the education system in Singapore. We work closely with our REACH Youth Advisory Panel members, partners such as Varsity Voices, and youth-centric community groups to organise dialogues and Listening Points on topics of top concern to younger Singaporeans. Through such collaborations, REACH hopes to reach out to the youth through ways they are most comfortable with, listen to their views on issues closest to their hearts, and ensure that youth’s voices continue to be heard in the Government’s policymaking process and that our policies remain relevant to future generations.
Headlined by a simulated Parliamentary debate, Singapore Model Parliament is REACH’s flagship youth programme which aims to deepen participants’ understanding of policymaking through activities that include workshops, dialogues with political office holders and learning journeys. Our 2023 and 2024 editions received overwhelming response, with more than 500 sign-ups each!
