Our Mission
REACH's Mission.
We aim to create a level of openness between the Government and Singaporeans, working together to establish continued conversations, community participation and collaboration. By providing platforms for citizens to contribute their ideas and feedback, we aim to foster a culture of citizen engagement and shared responsibility for Singapore's development.
Our three key roles are to:
1. Gauge and Understand Ground Sentiments
We are here to listen to what Singaporeans have to say, understand their sentiments and highlight key issues of concern to the Singapore Government, ensuring that their voices are heard and considered in policy-making processes.
2. Reach Out to Engage Citizens
To reach out to as many Singaporeans as possible, we have put in place both traditional and online feedback channels including email, online feedback form, REACH Telegram Interactive Chat Group, REACH social media such as Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and TikTok.
We also conduct face-to-face sessions such as dialogues and Listening Points (roving feedback booths) to engage Singaporeans more deeply on issues and concerns. In addition, we work closely with community groups, professional groups and non-governmental organisations to connect with Singaporeans of diverse backgrounds and interests for a comprehensive representation of our society's views.
Together, these give Singaporeans multiple channels to engage with REACH.
3. Promote Active Citizenry through Citizen Participation and Involvement
We are committed to encouraging Singaporeans to actively participate in shaping Singapore’s public policies and our nation's future by facilitating various engagements like public consultations, listening points, dialogues on a wide range of topics.
